My name is Coach Mauro Maldonado, and I’m proud to be from Waco, Texas. I graduated from University High School in 2011, and for the past 13 years, I’ve dedicated my life to coaching and mentoring youth soccer players from as young as 4 years old up to high school athletes.

Coaching, for me, is more than just developing great soccer players—it’s about shaping respectful, disciplined, and hard-working young individuals. I believe in teaching my players the true love for the game while instilling life values like teamwork, respect, accountability, and perseverance.

Throughout my coaching journey, I’ve had the honor of helping countless kids grow out of their shell and transform into confident, respectful athletes both on and off the field. My focus is not just on soccer skills and conditioning, but also on academic success and character development. I work closely with my players to ensure they are staying on top of their schoolwork, showing respect to coaches and families, and continuously striving to better themselves.

Above all, my mission is to equip each of my players with the tools they need to succeed—not just in soccer, but in life. Watching them progress, develop, and succeed is the greatest reward of all.
